Congress Weakens Organic Standards
Despite the best efforts of Citizens for Health and other consumer advocacy groups, on October 27th 2005, House and Senate negotiators approved an amendment to the 2006 Agriculture Appropriations bill that will permit some synthetic ingredients to be included under the "Organic" label.
